Role Description
Vester Oil Mills Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager at the Refinery Section to oversee day-to-day operations at our Kumasi location. This is a full-time on-site role that requires the Operations Manager to oversee the production, quality control, and staff management of the refinery section. The Operations Manager will work closely with the refinery team to monitor and optimize all factors affecting production efficiency, product quality, and operational costs. The operations manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and developing and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years experience in a managerial role in the oil and gas industry
- Knowledge and experience in refinery production processes, maintenance, and quality control
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement operational plans and policies
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyze complex problems
- Experience with occupational health and safety regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility
