Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team as an Accountant. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial management of our organization and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities
As the Accountant at Vester Oil Mills Limited, you will:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct regular financial audits to identify and address discrepancies or inefficiencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
About You
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate should be 55 years old or above and have at least 15 years of relevant experience. While specific qualifications and experiences are preferred, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are eager to contribute to our mission.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Masters/MBA is a plus.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel and Quickbooks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
